UCF’s baseball team opened its inaugural Big 12 season with a 12-11 win over Bryant University on Friday night.
The sounds of cheers, stomps and chants erupted from the stands of John Euliano Park as the Knights faced the Bulldogs for the first time in program history. Approximately 2,602 fans were treated to a constant back-and-forth battle until the eighth inning when redshirt sophomore infielder Braden Calise hit a sacrifice fly to center field, giving the Knights the upper hand to secure their first win of the season.
